About Me
Mark Hetherington is a Landscape and Astro photographer based in Penrith, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Having grown up in Cumbria, Mark has a deep connection to the Lake District landscape, shaped by years spent walking, running, and climbing among its iconic fells and valleys.
Since 2019, Mark has dedicated himself full-time to capturing the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District. His work reflects a passion for the outdoors and a desire to share the regions dramatic light, textures, and moods. In recognition of his photographic skill and artistic vision, Mark was awarded Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) in April 2024.
Mark’s Portfolio showcases a stunning selection of Lake District landscapes, alongside images from across the UK and further afield. While the Lake District remains his primary inspiration, Mark’s love of travel brings a broader dimension to his work.
